The newer semiconductor circuits in these machines are designed quite well. With reasonable care it should provide many years of trouble-free service.
There are sellers of similar machines but their machines ARE NOT foot pedal ready! GiantTech CT416D Triple Function machines ARE foot pedal ready. For precise control of the weld pool during the tig welding process YOU want foot pedal control of the amperage!
The GiantTech CT416D has five user friendly controls: 1. Foot petal selection switch 2. ON/OFF switch 3. Function selection switch which consists of plasma mode, tig mode and stick mode. 4. Post air/gas selection switch (choice of 2.5 or 5 seconds) 5. Amperage output control dial Please note: Although many might suggest that for ease of use when cutting you leave the amperage dial set to the max output for all thicknesses, we do not advise this. You will use less electricity and get longer life out of your consumables if you dial in according to the different type of materials and thickness you are cutting.
