Each certified product comes with:
A calibration of certification label.
One of following certificates attached to the box.
The type of certificate varies by product:
(1) "NIST Certificate of Compliance" - Specifies that the product has been tested and found to be within its stated tolerance for accuracy.
Thermometers, Dataloggers, Hygrometers ($30 fee)
**Timers and Stopwatches ($20 fee)
(2) "Certificate of Compliance" - Similar to #1 but not measured against NIST standards.
(3) "Certificate of Calibration" - Similar to #1 but for products which can be adjusted to the standard they are tested against.
**Refractometers ($40 fee)
(4) "Certificate Traceable to NIST" - Specifies that the standards against which the product has been certified or calibrated were themselves calibrated by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), or with NIST calibrated equipment under conditions specified by NIST.
**Sound Meters and Light Meters ($30 fee)
