The VT-WIN is used to inspect printed circuit boards for a variety of defects in solder paste, component placement, and solder joint quality. Created from over 10 years of experience in this industry, the VT-WIN utilizes Omron's patented Color Highlight System to identify the shape of the solder joint while leaving the rest of the colors of the substrate and components undisturbed. As a result, in addition to detecting defects in the component placement process, including polarity errors, wrong component, missing component, lead bending, etc., it excels at identifying defects in solderability, including insufficient solder, bridging, excess solder, lifting, solder balls, non-wetting, etc.
The core of the inspection system consists primarily of a color CCD camera, a computer-controlled X - Y stage, and the image processing unit.
