The PhD Ultra has all the capabilities of the PhD Plus and more. The most important additional capability is automatic record keeping. We wanted our users to have a complete record of the use of their gas detectors. We wanted to record user names and the locations monitored using 13 character alphanumeric codes. We wanted to store a complete calibration record, to include an expanded range of sensors, and also make instrument maintenance and set-up a snap. The result is the PhD Ultra. Most datalogging instruments require connection to a PC to access advanced features. Not so with the PhD Ultra. While the PhD Ultra datalink software makes communication with a PC extraordinarily easy, the Ultra electronic design is so powerful that you don't need a computer to retreive information or to set up the instrument. You can display the usage history of your instrument directly on the LCD-without the use of auxiliary accessories. For each monitoring session you can identify the time and date the instrument was turned on / off, the individual who used the instrument, the location in which the instrument was used, and the worst atmospheric conditions during that monitoring session.
