Schott-hoya 2" color glass filter assortment - 15 pcs
Here is an assortment of 15 color glass filters for research and various spectroscopy work, or whatever you want to do with them !!! They are all a large 2" diameter with beveled edges to prevent/reduce edge chipping. They are typically Schott glasses, but I reserve the right to substitute equivalent glasses made by either Hoya or Corning. You will get 15 pieces in total, all different with the exception of 1-2 neutral density filters, which are the inconel thin film type and not Schott NG series glass. Shown in this picture, and typical representative of an assortment, are the following Schott glass type, in the order shown from left to right:
Top Row: VG-9, BG-3, BG-12, BG-25, BG-38
MIddle Row: GG-455, GG-495, OG-530, OG-550, OG-570
Bottom Row: Dichroic Longpass (thin film type), OG-590, RG-645, R-72, KG-3
Thus, you get a nice series of longpass filters throughout the visible spectrum and into the near infrared (IR), as well as various bandpass type filters in the blue and green. Please also note that some specific glasses (i.e. BG-18, BG-38, UG-11) are subject to surface oxidation and will likely need polishing to restore the surface finish. They will retain the spectral characteristics, albeit with reduced throughput due to increased scatter. You can easily clean them up with a fine polishing paste. I will guarantee you will not get any duplicates of the color glasses, but I can't guarantee every set will have identical make-up. If you desire duplicates of some types, please email me and I will try and do my best to accomodate your request. Although I have not shown a neutral density filter in this photo, you may get one in your set. The neutral density filters are thin film inconel coating type, and not NG series color glass. Please also note that there may be one other filter that is a thin film type, such as a long pass or short pass (also known as dichroic filters), and not a color glass type filter.
