A flap disc is made of a series of overlapping cloth-backed sandpaper segments that have been designed to wear away, constantly exposing fresh new abrasive grains. The flap disc removes material quickly and leaves a high quality finish. This ability to agressively remove material and leave a clean finish in one step is the advantage over conventional fiber discs. Type 29 fiberglass backing provides optimum (10-25deg) gringing angle and allows full use of the disc and won't mar.
