The Super-Precision® HLV Toolroom Lathe is versatile enough to produce a wide variety of parts with super-precise tolerances and fine surface finishes. The HLV features an inch and metric gearbox for precise, single-point thread cutting. Its dovetail design of the hand-scraped, full-bearing carriage and the bedways provides maximum tool rigidity for optimum accuracy. Independent, variable electric feeds permit multiple operations and on-the-spot rate changes with no waste of production time. The Hardinge pre-loaded spindle ensures maximum rigidity and sustained accuracy, eliminating end play and radial play, for truer turning.
The HLV also includes: a fast and easy lever-operated collet closer for positive workpiece gripping; a tailstock body of one-piece construction, featuring a hardened and precision ground #2 MT spindle; dual dials (on the tailstock and compound slide) to eliminate the need to switch back and forth between inch and millimeter increments.
