We have surplus machine time on our wire EDM and it could save you a bundle. These machines are very ver expensive and you can get one hour worth of use for $50! That should be about enough time to cut an inch in 1.5" thick tool steel. I am getting .030" per minute in up to 1" thick and .020" in 1 1/2"
