(Originally purchased for use while my Br & Kj was being serviced).
16,000 point Datalogging Type 2 (Class 2) Sound Level Meter
Type 2 meter with datalogging memory for 16,000 records plus PC interface & Software
* High accuracy meets ANSI and IEC 651 Type 2 standards
* Large LCD with Fast 50 segment bargraph display
* Stored data can be transferred to a PC via RS232 interface
* Meter can be setup from computer through RS232 interface
* Tripod mount ideal for field use
* 30 to 130 dB with + 1.5 dB accuracy and 0.1 dB resolution.
* Detachable 0.5" Condenser microphone.
* Will log Sound Pressure Levels at pre programmed intervals.
* Real Time and Date are logged with data.
Complete in original manufacturers box with Carrying Case, Microphone Wind Shield, Software for PC (Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000 and XP), RS232 cable, RS232 DB9 to DB25 Adapter, Users manual and 4 new AA Alkaline batteries (original batteries were removed before storage of unit).
Also includes normally optional 120 volt AC Power Adapter and Microphone Extension Cable.
Latest software is available from Extech site.
NOTE: I have just checked this SLM against my Bruel & Kjaer 4231 Calibrator (Class 1, with a current - May 07 - Bruel & Kjaer calibration certificate - traceable to the NIST) and it reads to within 0.1 dB of the expected calibration level ( 93.85 dB = 94.0 dB - 0.15 dB coupler correction for a free-field microphone). See photo 3 below.
