This protective clothing is designed to provide limited protection against injuries to the hand when properly wom. It is for conventional fire fighting and safe for use Only by trained, expenenced Fire Fighters who understand fire fighting dangers and use due caution at All Times
Hand wash with a mild soap and warm water, ( NOT HOT ). DO NOT use chlorine bleach. Tumble dry in amedium cool dryer or shape the glove on a flat surface and air dry. DO NOT lay gloves on radiators, as that may cause the leather to become stiff. DO NOT put wet gloves into pockets where they cannot dry. Excess water may be squeezed (Not Wrung) from the leather; wringing gloves could detach the liner system. Ggloves may be brushed to remove surface dirt and revive the nap of the leather glove shell. Store gloves in a cool, dry place. DO NOT wear gloves that have not beenthoroughtly cleaned,and DO NOT wear gloves that have not dried thoroughly.
All protective equipment should be inspected after each use. Possible areas of concem include cut or wom sections; tom seams or broken threads, which may allow seams to separate; tom or ravelled knit wristlets; or chemical contamination of the leather or liner which cannot be removed.
Decontaminate or dispose of gloves in accordance with procedures set forth for the environment to which the glove has been exposed. Gloves that have been contaminated with fluids that are described in OSHA ‘ s Bloodborme Pathogens Rules should be bagged and disposed of in accordance with Local, State and Federal Standards.
If unable to be repaired, damaged gloves should be removed from service. No protective clothing can provide complete protection from all conditions. Use extreme care for all emergency operations. Failure to Comply with these instructions may result in serious injury
The user of protective clothing must have the background and training necessary to select the right product for the job, and to use it safely. Shelby Specialty Gloves has no control over the use to which the consumer may put Shelby products for their particular application. For additional marking of gloves, use ONLY permanet marker products. DO NOT use heat transfers or bondingof any kind.
