The SCI produces a wide range of signals, including RF signals (Digital: min. pulse width > 0.01 msec. Analog: Max freq < 1 MHz), and a huge number of code combinations of the signals, that one can use to non-invasively (i.e. no electronic connection need be made) test your various equipment for vulnerabilities to outside signal interferences whether that interference be natural or manmade or be intentional or unintentional. The SCI does come with several controls that can be set and tuned to produce a very wide range of different kinds of signals and signal combinations (i.e. codes). Functional Description: Several antennas of different sizes and shapes are provided for transmitting the generated signal (you may use whatever other passive antennas you wish to at your expense). Also included are direct, capacitative-coupled, and transformer-coupled outputs. Antennas include the incredible proprietary silver dollar-size, very flat and thin spiral antenna is inserted into the machine (e.g. through a slot, crack and other thin or non-straight opening, and between densely-packed PC cards) where no other antenna will fit. The SCI lets you subject your equipment to the most grueling exposure of possibly interfering signals to determine shielding and hardening against interfering signals that cause unauthorized accesses, jammings and other possible electrical interference-caused malfunctions. An external port is also provided so that the SCI's signals can be observed on your oscilloscope, multiplexed or modulated with other signals you produce from other equipment of yours.
Digital signal options include continuous/non-continuous (including burst), fixed rate/varied rate, fixed pulse width/varied pulse width, periodic/aperiodic, synchronous/asynchronous, pure digital/hybrid digital-analog, or modulated/unmodulated! You control signal rates and durations, and output gains - all real time! You can transmit a coded signal through one cycle or continuously to trigger actions that you need repeated over and over. Great for the electronics lab and school science projects.
